Why Clinics Use It
VaxLink is designed around the moments where immunization teams lose time: manual entry, lot verification, and switching between source references and chart fields.
Lead gain
Pull vaccine details from the barcode and the catalogue instead of typing lot, DIN, and expiry by hand.
Input error
Keep lot, DIN, expiry, and trade name together while documenting an immunization record.
Time saved
Give staff the same repeatable steps in Panorama and InputHealth instead of copying fields one at a time.
System Map
Each block maps to one step in the product: parse the barcode, check the lot, review the values, then inspect the bundle if something looks wrong.
split
Read GTIN, lot, expiry, and serial from scanner output or pasted barcode strings.
Supports parenthesized GS1, compact payloads, and common text-label fallbacks used in clinic environments.
Works with AI 01, AI 10, AI 17, and AI 21 barcode fields.
split
Match scanned lot numbers against National Vaccine Catalogue concepts.
Show trade name, DIN, and related product details before anything is entered into the chart.
Fluzone Quadrivalent · DIN 02484811
Built on National Vaccine Catalogue FHIR bundle content.
rail
Write parsed vaccine details into Panorama and InputHealth with fewer manual steps.
VaxLink targets the active page fields needed for immunization documentation rather than broad browser automation.
Currently supported for Chrome + Panorama/InputHealth.
grid
Inspect cached bundle resources, lot matches, and barcode output in one place.
Use this when a barcode looks odd, a lot does not match, or you want to review the bundle directly.
Remote NVC fetch and local JSON bundle loading both support repeat lookups.
Use Cases

Compatibility and Limits
The current release supports Chrome with Panorama and InputHealth. Other CHRs are still planned.
| Browser | CHR / EMR | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chrome | Panorama | supported | Main supported autofill path. |
| Chrome | InputHealth | supported | Supported for barcode parsing and autofill. |
| Chrome | OSCAR | planned | Not yet mapped for stable field targeting. |
| Chrome | Wolf | planned | Planned once selectors and workflow coverage are defined. |
| Chrome | PS Suite | planned | Roadmap item, not available in the current extension. |
Panorama and InputHealth on Chrome are the supported autofill environments in this release.
The extension installs through Chrome Developer mode as an unpacked Manifest V3 extension.
OSCAR, Wolf, and PS Suite are still on the roadmap. They are not supported in the current extension.
Trust and Source of Truth
The site keeps this section plain: data source, local storage, and the browser permissions tied to chart entry.
Reference
Data summary
VaxLink uses the National Vaccine Catalogue bundle maintained by the Public Health Agency of Canada as its lot reference. Bundle data stays in browser storage for repeated lookups. The extension targets the active chart fields needed for autofill and is not affiliated with PHAC.
